Hayward BOLT/WASH, STRAINER HSG FLANGE (HCXP3000Z3) works as part of the assembly that secures a strainer housing to its corresponding flange in a pool or industrial filtration system. 

• Purpose:
• The bolt and washer combination provides a secure fastening mechanism that holds the strainer housing firmly to the flange. This ensures a tight seal and prevents leaks in the system.
• Installation Process:
• Alignment: The strainer housing and the flange must first be aligned correctly. The flange is the flat, circular surface on the housing where the connection occurs.
• Fastening: The bolts pass through pre-drilled holes in the flange and the strainer housing. Washers are placed between the bolt head and the flange or at the nut's location to distribute pressure evenly and prevent surface damage.
• Securing: The bolts are tightened (typically with a wrench or similar tool) to compress the flange and the strainer housing together, ensuring a leak-proof seal.
• Seal Integrity:
