Hayward Diaphragm Gasket (ECX1105) is a critical sealing component for Hayward Perflex Extended-Cycle DE (Diatomaceous Earth) filters, models EC65 and EC75. Ensures a secure, watertight seal within the filter's diaphragm assembly, preventing leaks and maintaining proper pressure for efficient operation.

• Sealing Function:

  • The diaphragm gasket is positioned within the filter's internal assembly, providing a tight seal between key components.
  • It prevents water and DE powder from escaping, ensuring the filter operates under the correct pressure for optimal filtration.

• Pressure Retention:

  • A installed diaphragm gasket allows the filter to maintain consistent pressure, ensuring the DE powder coats the flex tubes effectively and traps debris.

• Support for the Bumping Process:

  • During the bumping action (used to redistribute DE powder and clean the flex tubes), the gasket prevents leaks while allowing the internal mechanism to move freely.
