Hayward IMPELLER, 5HP/ SCREW (HCXP3050C) is a high-performance impeller designed for use in pumps powered by a 5-horsepower motor. It generates the water flow and pressure required for the pump system to function effectively. 

• Water Intake:
• When the pump motor is turned on, it rotates the impeller at high speed.
• The impeller’s spinning motion creates a suction effect, drawing water into the pump housing through the inlet.
• Energy Conversion:
• As the impeller spins, its curved blades accelerate the water, converting the mechanical energy from the motor into kinetic energy.
• This action increases the velocity of the water.
• Pressure Creation:
• The pump housing (volute) channels the high-speed water, gradually slowing it down and converting the kinetic energy into pressure energy.
• The result is a pressurized water flow exiting the pump through the outlet.
• Screw Attachment:
• This impeller is secured to the motor shaft using a screw, ensuring it is firmly attached and operates without wobbling or slipping during high-speed rotations.
